Every walk is tailored to your dog’s age, mobility, energy and personality. As their consistent caregiver, I’ll get to know their routines and preferences, keep an eye on changes in behaviour and mobility, and share a photo and personalized update after each visit.
Gentle Check-In
20 minutes | $25
A short visit for older dogs who may not need or tolerate a full walk. Includes a potty break/short sniff outside, fresh water, companionship and gentle enrichment - all tailored to how your dog is feeling that day.
Golden Years Sniff Walk
30 minutes | $35
A gentle, sniff-focused walk designed around your dog's individual pace and preference. We make time for sniffing, exploring and taking in the world around us.
Neighbourhood Enrichment Walk
45 minutes | $42
A medium paced enrichment focused walk allowing dogs more time to explore, sniff and engage their senses through different natural elements.
Additional Dog Add On | $15
Two compatible dogs within the same household can be taken out together for either the Golden Years Sniff Walk or a Neighbourhood Enrichment Walk.
A Little About Me
Hi, I’m Carlie, the heart behind Golden Years Dog Care. I’m also a mom of two amazing kiddos, a wife, and an animal lover.For the past 13 years, our ‘Golden Girl’ Bowie has been at the centre of our family. As we’ve grown older together, she's taught us that caring for an aging dog is about appreciating the little things - the slower walks. The extra time spent sniffing. The moments that might seem small, but mean everything to them.After 20+ years in the corporate world, I felt the pull to create something more meaningful - work that aligned with my passions, my strengths and a better sense of balance. That pull also led me to AARCS, where volunteering as a Dog Caregiver has reinforced what I already knew: my next chapter needed to be rooted in hands-on, compassionate support for animals.Golden Years Dog Care was created from my love for animals and desire to service a niche: personalized care designed for dogs in their golden years.I intentionally keep my client roster small so I can get to know your dog - their personality, their favourite walking spots, what makes them comfortable and the little things that make them them.Here's to the next chapter - I look forward to meeting you.
